-> Mercedes-Benz India launched the highly awaited A-Class luxury compact car in Mumbai on Thursday in continuation to its product offensive for 2013.
-> Four variants will feature in the 2013 Mercedes-Benz A-Class line-up initially, with the entry-level Mercedes-Benz A180 joined by the A200 BE, A200 CDI BE and A250 Sport.
-> The luxury carmaker launched A180 CDI with at an introductory price of Rs 21,93,500 (ex-showroom Mumbai) and the A180 Sport, which will be available at Rs 22,73,500 (ex-showroom Mumbai).
-> The A-Class introduces a new chapter in the compact luxury segment with a 1.6 litre, 4 cylinder petrol engine and 2.2 litre, 4 cylinder diesel engine with streamlined aerodynamic design ensuring minimalistic drag coefficient of 0.27.
-> The car has a 7G-DCT automated 7 speed Dual Clutch Transmission, 11 drive assistance systems, Direct-injection turbocharger technology, 14.7 cm infotainment display system, multifunctional sporty steering wheels with paddle shifts.
-> It features seven airbags, an electronic stability program to help minimise the loss of control of the car during emergency braking along with acceleration skid control, electric parkingbrake, brake assist system, attention assist and hill start assist in cohesion to make it safe for Indian roads.
