Press Release: White Bear Lake, MN (December 9, 2013) – Roadsmith has just introduced their line of trike conversions for the 2014 Rushmore Harley-Davidsons and the results are nothing short of stunning. Choosing a two-tone Electra Gide Ultra Limited as their first model conversion, the company has published photographs that clearly demonstrate the beauty and elegance of their HDT kit on this new model design.
Sporting a new 7-degree steering rake kit (previous Harley-Davidson FLH trikes used a 4-degree rake), the newly redesigned “Rushmore Trike” offers incredibly responsive handling and, with Roadsmith’s well-known independent rear suspension, a ride quality unparalleled in the industry. The new trikes will also retain the ABS braking system, featured on the new Rushmores, as well as the linked braking system, effectively linking both front and back brakes for improved stopping power and safety. Finally, as if these bikes weren’t already improved enough, for the first time in the history of Harley-Davidson touring bikes, several of the new models will include a liquid cooling system creating the perfect platform for the ultimate cool, comfortable touring machine.
The HDT model (shown here) is known for its more traditional Harley-Davidson styling cues, including turn signals and taillights from the original motorcycle. It offers a spacious trunk and is most generally paired with the original Harley-Davidson Tour Pak for long-range storage capacity.
Another model offering, also available for all of the FLH-series motorcycles, is the HDTR which offers the latest design features such as a single-handed trunk release, longer fenders and retro-styled all-in-one taillights and turn signals. This award-winning design has proven to be a great match with all of the Harley-Davidson touring models, with or without a Tour Pak.
As the oldest trike company in the business, Roadsmith has a long history as an industry leader and innovator. With motorcycle trike design “firsts” such as independent rear suspension, longer wheelbases and a quiet, electric reverse system, Roadsmith continues to lead the way in trike design and development now and into the future.
Roadsmith Trikes is based in White Bear Lake, MN where it manufactures and distributes a wide range of trike conversion kits for Honda, Harley-Davidson, Victory and Indian motorcycles. They are also represented by over a hundred dealers in the U.S. and Canada as well as their own factory retail store on Beach Street in Daytona Beach, FL.
